CENTRAL TEXAS COURT REPORTERS ASSOCIATION

Our Mission

As keepers of the spoken word, our knowledge is ever expanding and endlessly growing. CTCRA endeavors to always be available and ready to educate and be a resource for those demanding excellence in this amazing career; to help each and every member to not only become the most successful writer they can be, but to also excel in the delicate balance of working and living.

Networking with our local, state, and national associations is one of the ways we help reporters, as well as litigants, stay connected and informed. Below are helpful links to our state and national associations. TCRA and TEXDRA are our main state associations and NCRA is our main national association. Protect Your Record is a nationwide project that began in early 2020 and is an extremely useful tool to help educate the legal world about the benefits of obtaining a Certified Shorthand Reporter to guard the record as opposed to allowing uncertified, untrained, unskilled people to produce transcripts that only a CSR can produce. MyTexasCSR is a resource to connect Texas certified court reporters with licensed attorneys and paralegals who need their services.

We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.
